Landing a Harrier with 3 greens is not advised either.
I was around the well known RAFG VSTOL unit (since abused by the army) at the time of the Falklands Campaign. The singlies were all biting at the bit and left behind, and the scalies were all "Wife and family" and got sent. I did not hear one word though once the separation was complete ie Professional head put on and the job done (Well as it happens) I believe that this is probably the case today as it was then, and that once sent, ass will be kicked. As a beefer in `96 the Stn Master put in orders that aircrews were not to gen app to rejoin the front line as he was pussed off with the many that did.
