I left the F3 a while ago and there have been alot of changes to the jet recently. It seems that only thing that hasn't changed is the 'is out-turned by a oil tanker/B52/whatever' stigma. Can any other RAF FJ out-turn an F3?
Scary isn't it. Hawks don't count.
I seem to remember the jet being good enough to CAP over Scott O'Grady's crash site in Bos, and that was without the TRD. And that was scary too....
I'm sure many an F3 mate wouldn't hesitate to go sausage side, with or without the 5 star hotel. Comfy uniforms, tasty beds etc.
