For that to happen they would have to employ their piltos, so no, I don't see it happening in the near future. The going rate is $30K AU for a 737 rating, that doesn't include 5-6 weeks living over there.

Risworth contractors get nearly 6 weeks (28 days), I think that's because Conair are employees, and public holidays are recognised.

The roster patterns are becoming progressively less attractive. One of the new tricks seems to be 2 am finish, with an avo shift or standby to back it up.
