My educated guess is as such:
1) The GB guys say no thank you to the low cost model (as happened when flybe took over BA Connect) and they walk, hence creating a building-at-the-back-of-the-garden load of jobs
Funny thing that most of the BACon FOs seemed to jump at the opportunity to work for Easyjet. Can't all be bad, modern fleet, household brand at least 15k a year extra (in that case at least)
