At OSH, I had a look at both the C162 and the new Cirrus SRS.
Compared to the 'Tecnam' types out there, both aircraft are built like brick outhouses.
The C162 and Cirrus SRS are built for day in and day out circuit bashing. Speaking to both companies, the designs may be in the LSA Cat, but the build standards come from FAR23.
Both will have (VFR) 'glass' cockpits, both will have ballistic recovery parachutes and for a bit over US$100k, I think that's quite good value.
Smart moves from the two leading GA manufacturers.
