Part of their problem is retaining their pilots coz many are jumping ship for better terms and conditions .. Having their cadets train for the MPL would mean less chance for that to happen.
This might be true but you might get a lot of bitter MPL pilots after a few years. REX's work culture will not change over night. Treat employees badly and they will find a way to pay out their loan and move on to greener pastures.
