There was talk of a SIngapore base a few years ago but it's all gone very quiet.
There's not much prospect of bases with QANTAS in the forseeable future - but the pilots would be the last to know.
There is a chance within the QANTAS group to move to Jetstar Asia or possibly Vietnam depending what happens with Pacific and QF's involvement. I wouldn't hang your hat on it though.
If he's serious with QF, the worst that could happen is he's going to be stuck in the best country on earth. Just ask all those who wish they back here currently living in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong.....or any other 3rd world s%^thole you'd care to name.
