Having operated a few LGW flights this month I have been suprised, the other weeks sunday LGW service has a pax figure of 110. Last week the my lowest pax figure was 46, that was 1 sector, alll the others where 70+ so thats showing signs of improvement as last time I did LGW sectors a few months ago it was only in the 40's.
I think people are seeing that Jet2 are commited to the LGW service, if there is any problem with an aircraft or delays rather than cancel it like many of our competitors would, we have subbed in the 757 so minimise and disruption. I know that the LGW has low pax figures but they do have good yield on it so i dont think its going to go anywhere soon, the only change I would see would maybe be dropping down to a morning and tea time service only, but that lunchtime inbound is getting busy as well!
