Requirements for EK

never flown in the airlines

Applied 9 years ago trying to get the hell out of corporate in Saudi

Received an email recently to say" we understand you haven't updated you details for some time and welcome you to apply" followed by the usual Dubai is a great place to live.

I know, I have lived here for 3 years.

Only 8,000 hours command and 4,000 PIC biz jets. Nothing over 20,000 kg

Flown all over the world and filled up the list of airports operated to in the application like a christmas tree.

I am at the top of the best corporate eqipment on $10K/ month +++ all provided. Can I do the EK job, sure I can............ do I want to loose $$ for a few years.......I honestly don't know

The point is EK realise that 90% of biz jets have all have hi tech efis cockpits with HUDS, auto throttles, enhanced vision and now the 7 X is fly by wire. They cruise 6,000 nm at 0.86 M and have everything a rich guy would want in his private boat.

This will be the next pool of drivers they will want to take...............but will we come......

The big companies operate SOP's all day long so corporate guys now have CRM etc etc etc coming out their ears....... The transition to a regulated enviroment is no longer a stumbling block.

The question is who will cave in first???????????????

The airline needing crew because the fleet is on the ground costing $$$$ or the rich guy who demands his new aircarft has crew.......... considering the way they blow money on their vactaions, my money is the rich impatience corporate owner will cave in first and pay anything to have his crew on line. The airline can not make that descision in enough time to compete. I know a guy flying a true golf hero and he is on $18,000 / month................

What are your thoughts guys.
