Flying Bull re the Gazelle watercolour:
It was painted by a chap called Fred Brown who was the father of junglie pilot Peter Brown. I know because I have one of his gazelle pics which he did specifically for us. As far as I know his paintings were all one-off originals and all bl**dy good.
As for the story about the accident and the black gazelle, I'm not sure.
