Your pictures evoked happy memories of an overnight stop at Narsarsuaq some years ago. Took the opportunity to do some aerial sight-seeing around the coastline, and up over the ice-cap, before setting off for Goose Bay on the next leg. Amazing scenery.
It's remains the only place I've been where the landing clearance (s/e fixed-wing) included a warning that there was a large iceberg on the centre-line on the final stage of approach.
It was small enough for the airport to allow it to float away in its own time rather than towing it, but big enough to be given as a hazard warning to landing aircraft.
Thanks
