Cannot say what GBA are looking for but I do know that low hour pilots have been employed in the office then when an opportunity comes up you might get a Cherokee Six rating then onto the twins. Not a bad gig if you are happy to do your dues.
MA tend to look for a bit more experience. I went straight into AA with low hours and it was a very steep learning curve. If you have low hours do not be afraid to do some single GA time before looking for twin time.
