I note with interest that the views aired re the pay negotiations do not appear to be repeated on the BALPA site.
In my view we have obtained a significant RPI+ pay deal with 25% more days off within 2 years and some other lifestyle concessions thrown in. Yes there is still room to improve, particularly for those on the 'new' contract.
However, in my view, the CC have done an excellent job and aided by the highest ever levels of BALPA membership have secured a pretty decent pay offer...obviously 76% of those willing to vote at least partly agree with me.
As for the CC lacking backbone, I couldn't disagree more!
