If Only : Don't go to beckers, do a search to find out, Chopperline in caloundra are very good, also check out blue tongue at sunshine coast airport.
if you want to fly in the UK try BA, you might have to wait I think the JAA course backlog stands at 18 months at the moment.
The other option is to do the FAA course there, work your visa out and then come back and convert the exams. Train in Aus if you plan on staying there, if not go the FAA/JAA route.
