So, given it has been 6 years since the intial, is this still considered a renewal with an AME, or do I have to go to Gatwick again?
I think that if it is longer than five years since your last medical then you need to visit the CAA at Gatwick.
Had a quick trawl through the CAA website and couldn't find the information but I'm sure it is there somewhere. You may find the information in LASORS.
