You would likely need a job offer to qualify for a visa and job offers being difficult to get without the right to work in Canada makes it tough to immigrate here as a pilot.
Your best bet is going through your wife - there are many ways she would probably be able to get a visa with a masters, or if she's planning on a phd maybe she should look into doing it at a canadian school.
Anyway you would have a shot at Jazz with your time - maybe not AC yet but you never know... BTW, you do know about Jazz's pay? I know it sucks for regional stuff in the US too, but seems to be more opportunity there or in Europe...
Also you will need TC licenses to work here. I understand there is a fairly easy conversion now from your US ATPL...
