Well..... (As I often start my posts)

I Just finished the second long stint on Duty compliments of "Dean" (must be a brother to "Ivan") T'was a sight to behold, thousands of visitors and residents congregating at the airport to get the hell off of this rock. Delays mounted as APIS information had to be checked and many a data had errors.

As Dean reached "cat 4" the good people started to get frantic, the ground staff became simply overwhelmed with demands and turned into walking zombies. We finally got the flights out and as I returned from my last run to Florida this afternoon, the airport was eerily quiet, a few Phillipinos were cleaning and a few stragglers were loitering around with their roll-aways behind them, but the pre-event exodus was over.

As I came home changed my clothes and poured a stiff drink, my rough luck continued, first the cork broke off and then there was only a dribble left in the bottle of 12yr Dewar's and I didn't have anymore! luckily I found a bottle of Johnny Walker green (it was a present some time ago, probably had it 2 yrs) so I opened that and poured a little more. Now that I have consumed that I'm getting hungry, my wife left a piece of fish, as I am typing, I'm frying that and wonder what I am going to eat along with it, probably another Scotch!

Perhaps after a few of those I'll sleep right through Dean who is forecast to visit us tomorrow morning.

I'm going to watch some TV first (because that'll go first), then come back to the internet and finally get down to read a book.

On Tuesday we'll either start bringing everyone back or start the post event evacuation, in either case, nothing I can do about it!

Bloody Hurricane's! I wonder how much my real-estate investments have suffered because of it!

Cheers!
