by discounting the domestic connecting sectors (sometimes they are for free on longhaul flights) for onward/inward bookings
Really ? News to me, if anything the trend has been to increase the incremental cost of the domestic sector. This whole issue of NCL & BA has been blown up out of all proportion by events "down the road",the difference is that there BMI are looking for an excuse to pull the LHR due to slot availability, & the increase in BAA charges is an opportunity too great to miss. Whilst BMI are on, why not also put up a bit of a smokescreen by rattling the press, suggesting that the NCL - LHR would also be vulnerable. This way when BMI pull out then it will make them appear more of a victim in a much larger picture.
Excellent point from fl dutchman
Have never heard any rumors about MAN, EDI, GLA, or ABZ to LHR. If it is charges related they will cut all domestic into LHR.
