baby would be stupid to allow Ryanair to walk all over them at East Midlands. As much of a competitive presence as they are at any airport, it has not stopped other carriers from also having successful bases. Ryanair's predominant selling point is cost, they will fly you to your destination almost always on-time, almost always with your baggage and almost always for a very low fare. As a result they can get away with flying to airports in the middle of nowhere and gouging passengers for every possible add-on. baby would be sensible before Ryanair start expanding to more big cities to get in there first. Plenty of people like the product we have to offer - assigned seats, major airports and being a member of diamond club. This is why it surprises me that baby aren't more keen to openly defend their turf, though I have heard baby and regional both might have an extra aircraft at EMA by next summer.
