I think the title of this thread was 'GF Tranparency'.
Chuck Y, there was nothing un-transparent about the process with which RM underwent in applying for this position.
What is apparent in this thread is:
1. you (and possibly others here) applied and didn't get it.
2. the couple of you who are Bahrainis here (as much as I support your cause) should not think office positions automatically belong to you. Think along the lines of merit/ability/qualification/experience ahead of birthright/nationalism and you'll go a long way.
3. others here have 'personal' issues with RM which has no bearing whatsoever with his professional abilities.
4. the lack of guts, guys spreading poison easily behind the veil of anonymity. Approach RM and maybe discover that he's probably not a bad guy.
The fact is he applied and after a comprehensive presentation on his part, was shortlisted, appointment to be finalised.
Finally, being civil and well mannered to the boss, or anyone else for that matter, whether you like them or not, does not make you an ass-kisser. It makes you a gentleman and is a mark of maturity. Some guys here carry on like girls.
