That isn't necessarily correct. As we all know, B-hall is quite capable of accommodating additional capacity. Monday mornings see the Onur Air check-in down there. The new apron can accommodate 2 x wide bodied aircraft. So that's two major stumbling blocks resolved. Reading between the lines from Jet2's annual statement. It mentioned the 757's capabilities from Leeds as been a factor and that a 'similar larger aircraft' type would be used. One can only presume that this aircraft would too have excellent capabilities with LBA's current take-off limitations. I think it is quite clear that LBA is on the agenda for medium to long haul routes, but this doesn't mean that MAN or NCL wont see any developments there either.
