It amazes me the lack of knowledge some people have of the machines they fly......
For future reference oxi the linear actuator is attatched to the govenor.
What do you think causes the change in rpm when you press that beep switch??? The linear actuator moves the control arm on the govenor which in turn sends little messages to the fuel control to adjust the amount of fuel it delivers to the engine to slow or speed up.... Put simply!!!!
If the bolt fell out of the control arm you could either have an overspeed or underspeed depending on which way the arm moved....it is not spring loaded like the FCU ,but does not require much force to move so with normal vibration it would probably move one way or the other.
