Nay! not an intense dislike of all things Mancunian. I have positive intense hatred of the place and will continue to slag it off as much as I can.
But getting back to re-naming Liverpool Airport. I think that if they wanted to name it for the Beatles it should have been named Lennon/McCartney Airport. Naming an airport after famous people is not so unusual ; we have de Gaulle, Kennedy, La Guardia, John Wayne, McCarren, O'Hare, Logan, Nimitz and my own base, Lester B. Pearson, just to name a few.
I'll grant LPL one thing though; It sure brought them publicity.
