Lived in a house on stilts in Nemarluk Drive back in 1979 and used to hear the sounds of fun and jollity on welfare cheque nights even with the windows closed!!
Women and Children screaming, smashing glass, men yelling abuse at all in sundry. I'm sure you get the picture.
Never ever thought that it would be almost thirty years before some attempt would be made to fix the problem.
