I need to make a small correction in my previous post. I said any European hired when I meant any pilot hired. Bids, promotions, or bases are based on seniority only. So if you are lucky enough to get hired by Fed Ex, you will get the junior base, Memphis, and will only be eligible to be out based when your seniority is high enough to do so. Fed Ex has over 5000 pilots and hiring a class a month and given the extremely low turnover rate you could be in Memphis a very long time. By the way, Fed Ex is basing a lot of the new 757's in Europe.
