When I was there on the Q400 the company hired in direct entry FOs to the Bae146, by-passing myself and fellow FOs who then became 'stuck' on the turboprop. It worked out fine though as they did pay us the jet salary, while the new guys on the 146 were on the turboprop salary
.....All those 'stuck' FOs have now left, bonded somewhere else now
