TFI. .Demanding 50 quid to apply does not actually "stop pilots from getting free training and then finding a job elsewhere." What stops this is called £15000 for a type rating. . .There is of course another way to do this, its called bonding, you may have heard of it. It worked for me, and thousands of other pilots in the past, who were prevented from taking the training and running, yet saw it as a fair and equitable system.
Incidentally TFI, do you support option 1 or 2? Whilst I don't think you work for FR, you are definitely the biggest sycophant on Pprune (although I do agree with you on freedom of speech), so I reckon you'd be all in favour of screwing pilots at any given opportunity.
