Housing was certainly a very serious issue but that is old news and has been more or less resolved since Company provided accommodation came online June 2006 and the housing allowance was yet again increased.
Isn't still the case?
Shortages... there will be always pilots and other staff to fly. We'll move from place-to-place just like the Nomads, Gypsies and so on. It's true, this won't create any stability to both companies and us, but this is what we have. Bean-counters love the "figures" this way... they adore them.
