I don't think that the ground test was the anomaly that essexboy was talking about. I have had this problem. Just after takeoff ,lost capt flight director, speed tape varying from stick shaker to clacker. Standbys and FO instruments OK. After landing engineers with fax from boeing describing the fault swapped the SMYDs.
