Its the bean counters who make the decisions these days - low hour cadet pilots in commercial jet aircraft makes no sense to anyone other than accountants - they are cheap labour nothing more nothing less. The status of 'low hours' does not mean a great deal in itself - we all have 'low-hours' at one time or another in our careers. If you have ambition and ability it will come to the fore and in time you will find the position you desire but it may take somewhat longer than some expect. A frozen ATPL and two hundred hours will guarantee precisely nothing other than indicating a complete lack of experience - equally it says nothing about the aforesaid drive and determination to progress in this ridiculous industry. A reality check for some ?
