Ive got 1700hrs TT now......1500 on the mighty Dash8....and im struggling to find a jet job and im still a spritely 27yrs young!!
So, i think there is an element of truth in the opening of this thread.
However, more improtant things first, if anyone has any inside info for someone with my experience then drop me a PM!!
I think it will always be like this......never easy to find ANY flying job!!
For some reason, part of me wishes i was 21 with 200hrs again and a fresh new type rating paid for by Mr HSBC!.......I think with more newbies buying TRs, its pushing people like me(with experience) out of the loop!!
Its always been my dream to work for MYT...even now id still work for them after all the crap they've been through!!.....but to get in i need - 30k, a trip to Alteon and no guarenteed job!
God bless all you Captains who have to fly with low houred guys into places like CDG when they have no time on type....and in some cases (very few im sure), a lack of real ability!
