It's carrying around the dish antenna that makes satellite TV on a laptop less than user-friendly. Even digital isn't that good on a laptop unless you happen to be in the shadow of the TV mast.
I have a Hauppauge TV and radio USB device somewhere in the bottom drawer in my study. Nice idea, but it's easier to wander downstairs and watch a proper TV.
