Thanks Phil and alfaloop...The problem with those types of bonus is that after tax its about £70. Two points here. Those on the higher wages will not be insentivised by that. A night out at best. those on lower wages usually go for broke when going sick. By that I mean that if they lose the money for one day there is less incentive to hurry back. I say this without condoning the attitude but understanding it.
They have been trying to replace the bonus with an attendance scheme for years. Seems like its coming....
A wise man very well connected told me that DH will be rented out within 4 years and most things in there contracted out. Funnily enough this included Personnel (I hate the HR title) No ones job is safe in this topsy turvy world. It would be Karma indeed.
I hope that everyone told the truth in their survey responses.....I would imagine the Security ones to be illuminating..
