How very interesting. The same old sh*t from ALPA - trying to get seniority issues built into legislation. The law is one thing and your company seniority/retirement/promotion rules are entirely different. Most of all, however, it's good news for those US pilots who have always wanted to have the OPTION of continuing to fly beyond 60. If you are one of those who needs or wishes to do so then fine. If you're fortunate enough to not NEED to do so then nobody's forcing you to. Now for the next step - fly as long as you can pass your checks - medical and proficiency - without ridiculous ageist regulations that do not stand up to serious analysis.
