You pay your money..you take your chances, life isn't fair, neither is this business.
There is still a very large amount of luck involved in getting that first break, first T/P job, Jet job etc.......
If some feel that they have a better chance by purchasing a type-rating on a specific type..than thats their decision, rest assured though, there are plenty who don't
