So FR setting up at BRS with 13 new routes, many I would imagine on the BHX wish list (if such a thing exists.....). So come on then, who at BHX is going to rise to the challenge and spread their wings away from bucket and spade?? No-one me thinks, after the 'fall out' with FR, BHX are paying the price of getting into bed with a now overstretched FlyBe (whose heart lies elsewhere) and a Baby that seems to be on a cautious grow slow (but at least theres some grow!!). I know FR strike a tough deal for airports and have a take it or leave it approach to negotiation but wherever they go pax do seem to follow, surely that must count for something. Well done BRS!! Maybe EI would now be tempted to be the BHX filling in an FR EMA-BRS sandwich, who knows? Or maybe BHX will now try for more long haul as it would seem it is getting stuffed on short haul - I read today in TTG that Delta are actively looking to start flights from another UK regional airport next year..................heres hopin!!
