Security-wise, bomb attacks occured recently down here. Police seem to do its best to tackle the development of these unfortunate events. But it's hard for the general public to actally know what's happening behind the scenes on this issue. As for myself I elect to avoid places which may constitute targets. The Casablancan american consulate just closed down as a result of the recent attacks
Otherwise, life is by far cheaper than what you may experience in major european cities.
Dunno about night life. My feeling is that any place that may embody occidental interests or "decadent" way of life could constitute targets for bomb attacks. Therefore I opt to avoid them. Just a personal opinion. Maybe some others have different views...
Be also prepared to crazy ways of driving in Casablanca.
