Eqinox,

You need to at least have a trial flight. Do you get airsick?? You will not know until you try? Sounds silly but it happens!!

Im a little concerned about you saying you have no knowledge of the industry at all. From your post your age shows 23. I would have thought that was more than enough time to have looked in to your life long ambition and soak up a fair amount of knowledge.

Were you in the Air Cadets? That would have gave you an insight in to aviation and gave you the opportunity to try flying out.

To be in avaition you have got to live, breath, and sleep it! Its got to flow in your veins! I say this because of the amount of work required and the money you have to borrow, and the amount of time and dedication it takes. It literally takes over your life especially in training. The ATPL exams are an example, nasty things, but they are more of a test of determination than knowledge, can you dedicate all day and all evening to study for exmaple, even when your knackard after a days work?

You will be constantly broke, have a crap car whilst your mates are mincing about in BMW;s and no social life as your always be in studying.

Just a few bits of food for thought

Best of luck

Now, wheres those manuals!!!
