help with jargon
hi there
i have an interview with ctc in a couple of weeks time for their cadets program. as i've nothing to secure a loan against, this seems to be my only hope of becoming a pilot so i'm really keen to do well.
my problem is this: i've absolutely no flying experience, and very little knowledge about the industry at all. i'm trying to expand my knowledge by reading lots of threads on this forum and other aviation based websites. however, it's really hard to understand a lot of what is being written. to someone completely inexperienced in this industry, a lot of the vocabulary used is really confusing. simple things, like certain acronyms keep getting mentioned, and i have way of finding out what they stand for
does anybody know of any way that i can help myself to understand what's being talked about? is there perhaps a website that can help explain the basics of the industry and perhaps even give me decriptions of what certain words mean?
