The contractor is not in a position to fulfil its contractual obligations, pure and simple, and the Solomons Airline passengers are the losers with ad-hoc charters being arranged to fill the void. Consequnces of baggage left behind, uncertain departure times, missed connections et-al hardly allows what was a reasonable operation to instill confidence in the travelling public.
Methinks the AOC is still more a dream than a short term reality.
Strange that, seeing as CASA told SAW after the flight that it was a "pass", the formal application debrief with CASA has been conducted, and they've been told the AOC will be forthcoming "within a few days."
