I've no gripe either way in this very heated debate, but just three points:

1. Ryanair do use a lot of smaller regional airports (like DSA where I live) so planes are less likely to have to queue, and so are more likely to be punctual.

Is there a universally accepted definition of 'punctual' by the air industry like there is in the UK rail industry (up to 5 mins late) and when is this measured - when the planes land or when the passengers disembark?

2. The nature of Ryanair's short-haul flights and charges for hold baggage means that there will be less baggage to lose. Use of smaller airports means there will be less chance of baggage being lost.

3. Ryanair may have less complaints because it is incredibly difficult to complain or indeed contact the airline by website/e-mail. I wanted to contact them to praise a staff member who had been particularly helpful to me, but as far as I could see the only way was by a premium number, so I gave up.
