thanks for the reply. Your comments certainly makes a lot of sense, since those FA's have already been working for the Qantas Group. And MAM isnt part of it.
Having said that, I flew the other day with a melb CSM ( which happens to be a union rep ) and was told that when comes to career progression it also includes MAM casuals as part of the career progression scheme. Any comments on that ? I will try to find it out in the EBA.

there are MAM casuals that have been on the job for 4 + years and JQD started its operations in MAY 2004 ( less than 3 years ).
