I suppose anything is possible, QF could just employ language speakers and thats true with Carmen being based in Perth is not an issue, a quick look at their bid package shows that they come through the east coast and do most regional patterns anyway. When casuals were first introduced into our EBA through MAM the FAAA did mention a cap, however it was never signed off then FWA was introduced and the rest is history meaning there is no cap on the number of casuals that can be employed within short haul.

That sounds about right and the company will ask short haul crew again and again to take leave without pay and temp part-time like they have a couple of days ago and employ another 500 to cover the flying.
