They all have pretty reasonable STOL, low fuel costs (don't know why you have a downer on the Rotax) and, for new aircraft, relatively cheap.
Oh, and you can't go far wrong with a 180HP, (injected
), C172 SP. As long as you don't pack the kitchen sink, it will do a pretty reasonable impression of a STOL aircraft.
