You need to do medical, aviation law and some other exams and a Type rating exam.
to guarantee pass mark in your exams you must pay some US dollars to the guys at the caa. . i think the guy at the desk is called wilson.
Then you need to get some hours (about 20) in the Type after which, funny enough, you take a flight test. Yes, you must have flown and logged hours in Tanzania before you can take a flight test to 'convert' your licence to a Tanzanian one.... Hmmmm
This may have changed. I was there about 2 years ago. Hated every second of it too.... corruption, violence, no a/c maintenance. Good scenery though.
