We do that to sterilise the engineers as we taxi in. Stops the buggers breeding.
What annoys me? Engineers who sit in MY seat for engine runs or similar and don't don't re-adjust it to MY position!! Don't these people know who I am?
What also annoys me. Well, actually it amuses me because I used to do it when I was a hangar rat. What
amuses me are the engineers who leave a couple of screw, nuts and washers in the cup holders or on the console to make the pilots wonder what wasn't put back properly. That keeps me wondering for hours on a long sector
