Saw a corporate statement issued by John Mullen, the DHL Express CFO in the US. It'll be brand new -300ER Freighters, to my knowledge the first time DHL has went and bought shiny new metal. Well, apart from the A300-600Fs flying with AHK, but we only own 40% of those.
Stands to reason then, that they'll be N-reg'd; but whether it'll be ABX or ASTAR is not revealed at this point in time. Not the best of news for our guys with EAT and DHK who might have hoped for some longhaul flying. There was no information about routes, but little voices have spoken about them being used for point-to-point routes across the pond. That, however, is rumours taken to the extreme!
