Should also be charged with the cost of washing all the aircraft and cars, and cleaning the layer of dirt that coats all surfaces in our workplace, thanks to them woodchipping on a wet, windy day.

Funny how there is still a major objector to the position of proposed runway, and with good reason for them, which couldn't be put South of the existing due to "bush forever"...which I am told can only be swapped "like for like"...so lets get rid of anything like it and then we may not have to build the new runway.....

To me, the sign at the entrance, proclaiming Jandakot a "commercial development" rather than an "airport", and now the moonscape that was home to endangered flora and fauna, just shows what kind of people we are dealing with, and now we all have to be visually reminded of their greed every day. Apparently the whole lot is to be flattened. So there is plenty more dirt to be blown onto us.

Yet they haven't got the resources to mow the grass in the parking areas!

Apparently the bush that is gone is to be replaced by concrete monstrosities surrounded by nice little lawns and shrubs (that need watering) and car parks.

Some interesting stuff can be found in Hansard from Thursday 1 March, house of reps, re development at airports.
