Let's not jump into any conclusion here. Let's leave that to the accident board to investigate. There could've been a million reasons why the aircraft skidded and overshot the runway. These things happen even to the best of us.
And to add to the Anti-skid - this type of system was designed to reduce the braking power on an interval so the wheels will not lock up and skid.
It looks similar to the accident at Little Rock, Arkansas. I wonder if the aircraft in Tacloban had it's thrust reversers engaged and the spoilers deployed.
Were there any fatalities ?
