Guys, you don't need any of that bureaucratic mumbo jumbo at all. Just go to any Asean country (you don't need a visa). Make your connection from Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore. The Migra doesn't have any right to stop you. you are going as a tourist by the way.
